Sponsor A Seat
Support the redevelopment of Maesteg Town Hall by becoming part of the furniture.
When Maesteg Town Hall was built in 1881, it was largely thanks to the generosity of local miners, who levied a day’s wage in order to fund the building.
Now, more than 135 years on, we’d love to continue honouring Maesteg Town Hall’s tradition of community support by offering the opportunity to help fund the redevelopment of our beloved venue.
If you’d like to celebrate cherished memories made here or offer a one-of-a-kind gift to someone special, why not consider sponsoring a seat in the newly redeveloped Maesteg Town Hall? The opportunity is open to individuals, businesses and organisations who’d like to leave their mark on a building that has helped to shape the history of the Llynfi Valley for over a century.
When you sponsor a seat, an engraved plaque will be fixed to your chosen seat in the balcony of the main hall or the new studio theatre. What’s written on the plaque is up to you, with 70 characters (including spaces) to play with.
Examples might include:
Jenny married Adam here on 1st April 1990
I played Dorothy here in 2005
Thank you for the memories – Bill and Eileen
Happy 18th birthday Sophie
All plaques will be fixed prior to the reopening of Maesteg Town Hall in 2021.
Sponsoring a seat makes a vital contribution to the future of Maesteg Town Hall. As well as helping to fund the improvement of the building, your contribution will ensure that creativity, culture and community continue to thrive in the hall for years to come.
